Debout, en bas de l'échelle qui mène du sous-sol au premier (ou du premier au sous-sol) en levant la tête, vous avez cette belle vue! Sur la gauche c'est l'échelle qui mène du premier au second; éventuellement, nous allons remplacer les échalles par de belles marches d'escalier (bien que j'aime beaucoup cette vieille échelle rouillée!).

Standing at the bottom of the  ladder leading from the first floor to the basement (or from the basement to the first floor) you have this magnificent view! On your left you can see the thin ladder that leads from the first to the second floor; eventually all these ladders will be replaced by wooden stairs (althought, I have to  admit I love that old rusted ladder!).
